Socioblogical Musings

Religion is a precise fundamental set of beliefs and practices commonly agreed upon by a number of persons or sects. It is a word which refers to approaches to human spirituality which normally takes in a set of narrative, symbols, beliefs and practices, usually with a supernatural or transcendent quality, which give meaning to the practitioner’s experiences of life through reference to a higher power of truth. 

Religion may be expressed through ritual, prayer, meditation, music and art, among other things. It may center on specific metaphysical, supernatural, and moral claims about reality which may give in a set of ethics, religious laws and specific lifestyle. Religion also includes ancestral or cultural traditions, history, writings and mythology in addition to personal practices related to communal faith and to group rituals and communication stepping from shared belief.
